Your investments are protected

Your investments are protected

When you invest through Property Partner, there are a number of measures in place to protect your funds, allowing you to invest with confidence. Here are some of the key protections.

Ring-fenced investments

All investments on our platform are separated from the assets and liabilities of Property Partner. Each property is structured as a separate entity, called a Special Purpose Vehicle, which means that it’s completely ring-fenced from all other properties and from the assets and liabilities of Property Partner. If Property Partner were to fall into financial distress, an alternative manager could be appointed to continue management of your investments.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) protects the funds in your Property Partner account. All funds in your Property Partner account that are not invested in properties are held on trust in a segregated client monies account at Barclays Bank. This is a separate bank account that is ring-fenced from the monies of Property Partner. Because of the segregated nature of your account, it’s unlikely you would need additional protection. However, in the event that you are unable to recover your funds, you are also protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), to a limit of £75,000 (bank default) or £50,000 (Property Partner default). Funds invested in properties are not protected by the FSCS. More information about the FSCS can be found on the FSCS website.

FCA Regulated

Property Partner is authorised and regulated by The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA is the body that regulates the conduct of the financial services industry in the UK. Its explicit aims include protecting consumers and upholding the integrity of the market. The FCA supervises and monitors our conduct on an ongoing basis. Our Financial Services reference number is 613499, and our registration details can be found on the FCA’s Financial Services Register.
