The online platform uniquely combines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertypartner.co\/property-crowdfunding\">property crowdfunding<\/a> with the opportunity for investors to subsequently trade their holdings. Daniel Gandesha, Chartered Accountant and former Head of Commercial Development and Startup Investments at BSkyB, founded the business following frustration with property investing being an all or nothing endeavour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cResidential property investment has many hurdles which put people off, including the significant up front cash requirement, exposure to unexpected costs, administrative burden and legal obligations. We\u2019re delighted that we have the backing and support of such an experienced group of investors\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Led by Octopus Ventures, the investment round also includes participation from Europe\u2019s top acceleration fund Seedcamp; Betfair co-founder and Funding Circle Board member Ed Wray; Better Capital founder and venture capitalist, Jon Moulton; Daniel Quai, Crescendo Real Estate co-founder; and BSkyB CFO and Just Eat Board member Andrew Griffith. The financing follows a previously unannounced \u00a30.15m raise in February 2014, in which Ed Wray, Daniel Quai and Andrew Griffith also took part, taking total funds raised to \u00a31.40m.<\/p>\n<p>Jo Oliver, a member of the Ventures team at Octopus, whose previous successes include Zoopla Property Group, will join Property Partner\u2019s board as part of the transaction.
